A Note from Liselotte
Hi, I’m Liselotte!
I’m a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with a Master of Education in Counselling Psychology from the University of Toronto. I work with people of all ages, with a particular interest in adolescents and young adults.
I believe therapy works best when you can feel comfortable being yourself with the person sitting across from you. My style is warm, down-to-earth, collaborative, and authentic. I value creating a space where you can be open and honest without worrying about saying the “right” thing or having everything figured out. And while therapy can certainly be challenging, I believe there should also be room for humour, laughter, and moments of lightness along the way.
I begin by getting to know you and understanding how you see your experiences, rather than assuming I know what you need. Together, we can explore the patterns, experiences, relationships, and beliefs that may be contributing to what you're going through, while also developing practical strategies to help you move toward your goals.
I believe there is no one-size-fits-all approach to therapy. My goal is to understand your world, adapt to what works for you, and create a therapeutic relationship where you feel genuinely understood and supported.

Fun Facts About Liselotte
-
I’m a proud dog mom to two large and perfect dogs. They’re both the sweetest, best-behaved dogs in the world—or at least that’s what I tell them (and anyone who will listen).
-
I learned how to play chess in the past year and became a little obsessed. What started as a random new hobby quickly turned into one of my favourite ways to challenge myself and exercise my brain.
-
I’m the oldest of four siblings, and my youngest sibling is 15 years younger than me. Growing up with such a big age gap has given me plenty of experience “vibing” with the younger crowd!
-
I’m Dutch! I immigrated to Canada from the Netherlands when I was five and grew up in a very small, rural Canadian town.
-
I’m happiest in nature. Give me a forest, sunshine, and my dogs, and I’m pretty much at peace.
